Michael Fluet - MEF

I’m Mike, founder of MEnterprise Firm Inc. and the builder behind MEF. My specialty is WordPress and WooCommerce, but most of my work starts where the normal boundaries of the platform stop being enough. I got into software by solving problems I was actually dealing with: payment limitations, checkout failures, merchant operations, shipping, compliance, identity, infrastructure, and the friction that comes from depending on systems you don’t control. When an existing plugin, processor, service, or workflow couldn’t do what I needed, I built the missing layer. That progression took me from websites and custom WordPress plugins into payment systems, checkout resilience, merchant tooling, headless commerce, APIs, mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and AI-assisted operational systems. A lot of the software here came from real operating pressure. I managed a WooCommerce operation that completed substantial sales largely through custom-built and alternative payment flows rather than traditional card processing. Problems encountered there became gateways, verification systems, shipping workflows, diagnostics, fallback infrastructure, and eventually larger commerce platforms. Over the past year, I’ve built across WordPress, WooCommerce, React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and native/mobile systems. Some projects became standalone products. Some became internal tools. Others were rebuilt several times as I found better ways to solve the same problem. The common thread is simple: I build systems that give the operator more control. Control over payments, data, infrastructure, workflows, execution, and what happens when something breaks. I’m most interested in problems where the existing answer is inefficient, fragile, overly dependent, or simply not good enough. If I can understand the problem deeply enough, I can usually build a better way through it.
